The event will take place at the Laurel Packinghouse offers black tie dining from our talented chefs or standing room only tickets and cash bar. This will be the time to look your best (dress up Old School Hollywood optional) while knowing that at the same time you are giving back to your community.
Boxing for Community – is a charity-boxing event for the community. Local community heroes will put their chins on the line for charity. The first Boxing For Community event is not your typical pugilistic event, it’s fun and a great way to contribute to our community. Modelled after other successful boxing events, it will certainly promise to be a spectacular night of boxing where 24 local personalities enter the ring in front of an audience in excess of 150 people, and give all they’ve got to support men’s program in our community. K96.3’s David and Tony will be your ring announcers and other local media personalities with present the round cards.
UFC GYM Kelowna is preparing the contenders fight-fit and ready, teaching them how to box with fully certified sanctioned coaches. The event is classified as “Social” boxing, which mandates the compulsory use of headgear and competition gloves. As a BC Boxing sanctioned event, all boxers are required to undergo a pre-bout weigh in and medical. The fight card match-ups will be announced closer to the event.
